In the Music Major, historical, ethnographic and critical studies are complemented and deepened by music-writing and auditory skills (developed largely in the context of Western music), and by ensemble performance (available at present in Indonesian, Philippine, and Japanese as well as traditional Western forms) and by individual instrumental or vocal study.
