Film and Television B.A.

Open Fall term only. The four year Bachelor of Arts degree in Film and Television provides an education in the history and theory of these art forms and basic learning experiences in production witihin the context of a liberal arts education. The convergence of all the art forms of the moving image enables students to move freely among the plurality of media. Applicants to the school must have a minimum 3.2 gpa at the time of application and by the time of entrance have completed their general education coursework prior to entrance. Transfer students cannot change to the Film and Television major after they transfer to UCLA. Additional admission requirements include a personal essay, a critical essay, a creative writing sample, and two letters of recommendation. Films and videotapes are not accepted. Prior experience is not required.
