Admission into UCLA's General Chemistry B.S. major is not open to new applicants. Students must transfer into another major (preferably one with similar lower division coursework) and then apply post transfer to the major via petition. The major is designed primarily for students who are interested in attending graduate school in Chemistry or related areas, and may also satisfy the needs of some pre-medical and pre-professional students.
