University Majors
Civil engineering is one of the largest branches of engineering. It deals with civil infrastructure systems such as bridges, buildings, roads, and other transportation and water systems. Students choose civil engineering to serve their community and to be involved in a more hands-on, social discipline. Civil engineers design, plan, and supervise the construction of facilities such as airports, high rise buildings, transportation networks, sanitation plants, and water-treatment centers. Civil engineers play a key role in environmental protection.
