University Majors
The major adds chemistry as a full partner to the traditional engineering sciences of mathematics and physics. Chemical engineers concern themselves with the chemical processes that turn raw materials into valuable products. Students choose chemical engineering to gain the broadest scientific and technical skills that apply to biological, chemical, and environmental problems. This major allows students to specialize in one of the following areas: Biochemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or Materials Science.
