Computer Science B.S.
Computer Science: The Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET), providing majors with a sound educational base in Computer Science. The Minor in Computer Science is available for students majoring in disciplines other than Computer Engineering.
The certificate program in Managing Information on the World Wide Web was designed for non-CSC majors. Students who complete the series of seven courses will be able to install and maintain a reasonably complex web server, create home pages, and link pages to local databases.
The Department offers two programs in conjunction with other units: with the Mathematics Department, a joint program in Mathematics and Computer Science (refer to the Mathematics section of this catalog); and with the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, a major in Computer Engineering (refer to the Computer Engineering section of this catalog).
