Physics B.S. with Astrophysics Option

The most fundamental of all sciences, Physics provides a framework for understanding all other scientific and engineering disciplines. It has fascinated men and women in every age including Newton, Maxwell, Curie, Einstein, Bohr, Dirac, Meitner, Feynman and Hawking. The principles of Physics are crucial to such diverse applications as home electrical wiring, motion of a rocket or skydiver, solar, wind and nuclear energy, and an echocardiogram of the human heart. Understanding Physics helps us make sense of our world.
The Physics B.S. with the Astrophysics Option specializes in applications of physics to astrophysical problems and may be tailored to be more experimental or theoretical in nature.
