Music B.A. Concentration in Recording/Technology

The goal of the CSUMB Music and Performing Arts Department is to provide students with music and performing arts skills and knowledge in a rapidly changing technological world. In the process, students have the opportunity to learn about American forms of music and the value of aesthetic expression. They engage in critical application tied to historical and cultural events. In the context of social history, they have the chance to gain understanding of the meaning of music. In collaboration with the CSUMB Liberal Studies Department, the Music and Performing Arts Department helps prepare students for careers as performing artists and music teachers. This training includes stimulating awareness of the potential to connect with a broad audience.
