The BS in Physics is the appropriate choice for those students planning a career in industry or government laboratories, and those seeking a strong foundation in physics for graduate study. Students have the choice of selecting one of the specialized concentrations or following the general physics curriculum, which offers a variety of elective coursework. All offer good preparation for graduate study in physics. The electronics concentration is designed for students wishing to acquire a working knowledge of electronics to use in experimental physics. The electro-optics concentration provides a background in optical devices and techniques used in this rapidly expanding field.
