Creative Studies: Writing and Literature B.A.

Analytical essay and samples of creative writing required. The writing and literature program in the College of Creative Studies is for writers, and it appeals to students who are passionate about reading and writing. Along with their immersion in profound literature, students commonly take fiction and poetry workshops, to learn by doing. The faculty believes that literature is an art and that it is possible for serious students to do original work while they are undergraduates. The CCS literature program aims to provide the range and depth of preparation appropriate for eventual graduate work in English, comparative literature, or creative writing.
