The Bachelor of Arts (BA) in statistical science is a basic degree for students seeking general training in statistics and the use of statistical methods in the social and general sciences. The BA can serve as a terminal baccalaureate degree or as preparation for advanced training in business administration, management science or operations research. The Bachelor of Science (BS) in statistical science is a specialized degree for students interested in using statistical theory and methods in the actuarial, biological, physical, and technological sciences, as well as in various financial applications. The BS offers three concentrations: the actuarial statistics concentration, applied statistics concentration, and the probability and statistics concentration.
