Film and Media Studies B.A.

The Department of Film and Media Studies offers an undergraduate major leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree. Devoted to the study of film, broadcasting, digital media, the Internet, and other media as multicultural phenomena and humanistic disciplines, the primary emphasis is on film history, film theory, and film analysis. Although film production is not emphasized, all students become familiar with the basic tools of filmmaking; interested students may also take additional courses in screenwriting and advanced film production.
