Earth Science - Geohydrology Emphasis B.S.

Earth Science is the study of the earth - of its rocks, minerals and records of ancient life, and of the physical, chemical and biological processes, past and present, at work in the earth`s interior, on its surface, and within it envelope of water and air. An applied science, geoscience draws from a number of disciplines, mixing the practical with the theoretical. Geohydrology is the study of the movement of water through geologic material and the resulting interactions with a focus on earth surface processes. The emphasis requirements include courses in earth surface processes, aqueous transport of pollutants, and groundwater hydrology. The upper-division electives include a variety of courses offered through Earth Science. Transfer students are admitted to pre-major status until all prerequisites are satisfied.
