Psychology B.A. and B.S.

The major in Psychology is designed to give students a broad, general exposure to knowledge in the various areas of psychology and to the methods psychologists use to conduct research. The B.A. degree in Psychology is useful to those students seeking careers in probation and parole, corrections, personnel, industrial relations, mental health work, social work, or positions as trainees in a variety of executive training programs. The B.S. degree is designed to provide a research-intensive curriculum for students who want a deeper understanding of how knowledge is created through research and for stduents who may be interested in research-based graduate programs in psychology and the biological sciences.
