Economics/Administrative Studies B.A.

Economics studies the production and distribution of goods and services, as well as the way in which productive activity helps shape social existence. Economists are concerned with the factors determining national income, inflation, unemployment, output, growth and inequality (macroeconomics), and well as the behavior of individual decision-making units like house-holds and firms (microeconomics). The Administrative Studies component of this major provides students with an overall view of business, financial accounting, and statistical and computing skills used in business today. It includes a two-course study of organizations from an anthropological, political, psychological and sociological aspect.
