University of California, Davis
Animal Biology B.S.

The Animal Biology (ABI) major combines required core biological sciences courses ranging from molecular to ecological and evolutionary levels of organization, together with a focused research effort in animal biology. Thus, under the guidance of a faculty mentor, students additionally choose and design a research project (practicum), select supportive upper-division course work, and write a final report of their findings. Under these unique freedoms to design much of their academic programs, by graduation every ABI student has proposed and completed a novel research effort within the disciplines of animal biology.
