The Department of World Languages and Literatures offers majors in five of the most useful and widely spoken languages in the world: Chinese, Japanese, French, German and Spanish. In addition to our majors and minors in these languages, the department offers minor programs in Italian and Portuguese as well as language and culture courses in Portuguese, Hebrew, Vietnamese, Arabic, Greek and Latin.
