The Global Studies Major is different from traditional majors. As an interdisciplinary program it offers students the opportunity to take classes from professors in over a dozen departments across campus. Global challenges, now and in the future, cannot be easily understood from the perspective of one discipline. Global Studies majors will gain a strong foundation in global affaris. They learn to engage in problem solving across cultures and political boundaries, and how to critically evaluate information from a comparative perspective. With a BA in Global Studies you will be prepared to contribute to almost any organization or business and for a variety of careers at home and abroad. Global studies graduates will have the knowledge, skills, and perspectives needed to thrive in the 21st century.
