San Diego State University
Astronomy B.A.

SDSU is the only institution in The California State University system that offers a complete academic program in astronomy. Students actively participate in all phases of observational astronomical research. SDSU offers two degrees at the bachelor's level with specialization in Astronomy: the B.A. degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, and the B.S. degrees in Applied Arts and Sciences. These degree plans are similar in their emphasis on astronomy, physics and mathematics. The B.A. degree requires, in addition, competency in one foreign language, while the B.S. degree requires additional course work in astronomy and related disciplines.
