Wildlife, Conservation Biology/Applied Vertebrate Ecology - The Wildlife curriculum focuses on APPLIED VERTEBRATE ECOLOGY. That is, student learning is directed toward understanding the distribution and abundance of species (ecology), with a special emphasis on mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians (vertebrates). This information is in turn applied to real-world issues to help inform conservation and management decisions for species and their habitats.
