Tourism, Hospitality and Recreation Management B.S.

The undergraduate (B.S.) and graduate (M.S.) degree programs will successfully prepare students for various career paths within the dynamic field known as Recreation and Tourism Management. While the B.S. degree is designed to provide students entry into the filed of event planning, travel/tourism and hospitality, and recreation, the M.S. degree program is available to assist students in entering the administrative ranks of the profession. Some of the professional areas our students find employment in are: Adventure Travel Coordinator; Club Manager; Convention Coordinator; Resort Manager; Tour Guide; Recreational Sport Entrepreneur; Recreation Therapy; Natural Resource Management; Residential and Day Camping Administration and Management; Community Recreation Programming and Management; Event Planer/Coordinator; University Campus Recreation, Sport, and Intramurals; Challenge and At-Risk Youth Programming; Child Development and Play Advocacy Facilitation/Administration. The experienced and highly respected team of faculty maintains a philosophy of balance between theory and practical application.
