Wine and Viticulture B.S.

The BS in Wine and Viticulture provides you a unique interdisciplinary learning experience, combining winegrape production, the science of winemaking and wine business. With the campus located in the heart of San Luis Obispo wine country, Cal Poly students have the added benefit of gaining hands-on experience at more than 300 vineyards and wineries in the Central Coast area, all within an hour of Cal Poly. Industry experience is an important component of this program. Internships expose you to the latest technologies and winemaking methods, and enable you to learn from leaders in the field. In addition, you gain practical experience working in Cal Poly's vineyard and Pilot Winery. With a BS in Wine and Viticulture from Cal Poly, you enter the international workplace able to work with winemakers, grape growers, marketers, distributors and family wineries, and develop a deep understanding of all aspects of wine.
