Electrical Engineering B.S.

The department offers the BS in Electrical Engineering which is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, and the MS in Electrical Engineering. The mission of the Electrical Engineering Department is to educate students to achieve excellence in the discipline of electrical engineering and to teach them to apply their education to solve practical problems in a socially responsible way. We seek to prepare students for careers of service, leadership, and distinction in engineering and other related fields using a participatory, learn-by-doing, and "hands-on" laboratory, project, and design-centered approach. We seek to prepare students to participate in lifelong learning in the presence of rapid technological change. The department supports interdisciplinary programs such as Computer Engineering. It welcomes diversity in the student, faculty, and staff populations. The faculty are dedicated to quality teaching and engaging in scholarly activity. Student creativity is encouraged and fostered in this environment.
