Computer Engineering B.S.
The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department offers a Master of Science (M.S.) in Electrical Engineering, a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Engineering.
The graduate and undergraduate curriculums include a large number of laboratories where practical application of classroom theory is experience by the student. Additionally, a senior project design, an implementation, and an evaluation are required of all undergraduates and may take the form of team project. The undergraduate student is well-prepared upon graduation to begin either a professional career or a graduate program. The graduate curriculum also provides the student applied research-thesis experiences.
Computer engineers apply the theories and principles of physics and mathematics to the design of hardware, software, networks and processes to solve technical problems. Hardware design engineers design and develop computer hardware, and embedded systems. Software engineers design and develop software systems for control and automation of manufacturing, business and management processes.
